Carnival News

Feb 2, 2021, 12:07 PM
Having considered all the latest Government information and advice, and taken guidance from Wychavon District Council, we have concluded that Pershore Carnival will not be possible at the end of May.  Whilst great progress is now being made with vaccinations, at the end May there will still be a significant percentage of adults who have not been vaccinated and social distancing measures are highly likely to still be in place. However, we know how important it is to get events like the Carnival back on again, to give us all a positive lift, and we are really hopeful that a Carnival day of some kind will still be possible in 2021.  We will continue to review potential options over the next few months; and will provide a further update as soon as we can

We're very sorry to say that the Motown evening has had to be cancelled due to the coronavirus. This decision is taken on advice and whilst it makes us all very sad, we think it's the right decision given the current situation. We are now taking advice for carnival day itself as that may be under review under due to the virus. So sorry but please all of you keep safe you are more important than a Motown evening or a carnival. Thanks for your continued support for the Pershore Town Carnival.

Despite the bitterly cold and blustery wind, many people did go down to King Georges Field on Sunday to support the Duck Race to raise funds for this year’s Pershore Carnival. The Ducks were unfortunately not very cooperative but that only added to the entertainment.
